Awesome. I hope this holds to the original. Thanks Despair.
I am fan of the original ST. Paul Verhoven did great job, and special fx are still stand out by this date. Phil Tippet, who was in charge of SFX/CGI on the original is directing part 2, and I hope that it will be fun, mindless adventure.

You know, I never in my wildest dreams thought ST would get a sequel. Can't see shit from the teaser...so no thoughts till the real trailer.
No Rico?
While I did enjoy the original it wasn't as faithful to the book as I'd of liked and I can only see this one going further from the book.

Despair ,your one of kind man.
I dug the first one but it sucks that Paul Verhoven isn't directing this one(Yeah yeah he's hit and miss). Hopefully they'll keep all the gore and bizarre commercial segments. I'm hoping we at least get a Robocop 1 to Robocop 2 difference ratio. Then all should be well for the most part.
uh oh... I'm wary when spfx people decide they want to direct. I love Chris Walas and Stan Winston, but their directorial efforts...Originally Posted by Despair
I honestly don't think this movie needed a sequel. The first one ended perfectly, as an ad campaign to join the military.
On a slightly different note, in what ways did the comics differ from the movie? I've never even seen a Starship Troopers comic.
Hmm...
Dunno what to think about all this, will have to wait until I see more I suppose.
