Terminator story arc is all around John Conner, but it's stange, if Kyle didn't go back in time, then John conner would not have been born. Another thing that was stange was with out the terminator going back in time the Machines wouldn't have taken over. It's like a=b=c=a=b=c and so on. A Paradox could happen from this.
Another example:
Why did Lucas put in that Droid Factory scene at the end of Ep.2. That, to me could of been edited out. It had no significance to plot at all.

How come in BttF part 2, after Biff goes back in time to give the almanac to himself and returns to but the DeLorean back, the neighborhood Marty and the Doc in did not change at all?

Yeah, most time travel movies have this problem. Example: Back to the Future. Since Marty stopped his father from having the chance encounter with his future mother, they would never have fallen in love and thus Marty wouldn't have been born. But if Marty isn't born, then he can't go back in time to mess up his fathers chance meeting with his mother. Thus the infinite loop and the universe explodes.
