Not really anything new, just incites on Outrun 2, Virtua Cop 3, Virtua Fighter CG and other things. Glad VF5 is on the way, but I don't think that's a big surprise.
btw, one of the interviewers in named Almaci, is it the same guy who posts here?

The lead character isn't from past VF games, but the old characters do show up. We wanted something where you felt like you really are the game's hero. Like, in Pokémon ... the Pokémon themselves, like Pikachu, are the game's basis, but YOU, as the tamer, control them and adventure with their aid. We followed this sort of logic in thinking of how the main character would develop and react with the old, established characters.

This saddens me.

I don't see why it should. Cyber Generation has been screaming "catch 'em all" since the concept was announced and first pictures appeared.

VF5 is coming, you may ignore the existance of VF:CG.
