It's tough to get that many yellow balls in a single room though, your best bet is to try it out with the vigoorian flail in the room with the trap door.

it builds; you get bigger yellow balls if you keep killing people using essence combos. it's much easier to do with the bigger, slower enemies later in the game.

It seems that the (awesome) music from the original games isn't going to make an appearance, either. I wish they would have kept the old logo, too. Oh well.

If even a few notes of the original music was in there I'd mark out like a silly bitch.

Ahhh, cool! Another thing I noticed is that yellow balls absorbed during an essence combo don't count towards your total at the end. If my understanding is correct and the yellow is used like money, it might pay off to use the essence combos sparingly. Some of those big yellow balls are worth a lot.

I want Ashtar in the sequel. He was like the coolest looking thing I had ever seen as a kid, I used to sit around drawing shit from Ninja Gaiden 2's cutscenes for long periods of time.

And c'mon, we all know we're getting a sequel now that this one has proved to be exceptional... so we can start with the hoping now

Also, more DOA characters too... Hayate and Kasumi in particular... surprised they aren't in there (from what I've seen so far).

actually i am assuming that ayane is the one throwing the message daggers at you, given the color scheme of the flower and paper they are on.

Opinion question, did anyone else have a much easier time doing wall runs due to the fact that i-ninja handles them in a similar manner?

A fourteen year old Ayane is definiately in it. I'm not sure on whether it is HER throwing the daggers with the flowers on them, or just a member of her ninja clan.
