    HAIL ITAGAKI!!!

Is that on the box? Because I'm really not firmly enough attached to his jock to know that on my own.

Silly fucking me for thinking Ninja Gaiden would be Ninja Gaiden and not NINJA MISSILES X 1000 XDXDXDXDXD.

    Play Guitar Hero //

  3. I know Ninja Gaiden Trilogy is hard to find and all, and the man has to find time to be a good father to Kasumi and trash-talk Tekken, but it wouldn't have killed him to, you know, play the games he was creating a sequel to.

I don't think that's too much to ask.

The total package may still be a great game, but I don't see how you can just say the story "really doesn't matter." Would you be completely happy with a new MGS game that focused completely on VR missions to the exclusion of story, no matter how good those missions are?

    (Assuming you care about MGS.)
I agree with these sentiments. While I've followed XB Ninja Gaiden for a while now and have come to the grips with the fact its not related to the old ones at all and has a seemingly so-so story, it would have been cool if it was as entertaining cinematically as the old ones (which it might be... in two days we'll know). So I can share in that disappointment, despite whatever the fuck Itagaki knows about old school Ninja Gaiden.

Game will still rock considerably even if it's about fighting big breasted demon women... actually that might even make it better.

I'm sure he at least played the games a little.

Well, the man is a flaming jackass.

And Tim Burton has never read a Batman comic in his life.

Given that otherwise glowing reviews readily admit that the story sucks, I'm about ready to take that as fact.

I still want to play the game, but my interest in playing it right now has taken a hit.

Surely Tim Burton was exposed to Batman in some other form then.

I mean, if Itagaki never played Ninja Gaiden but he was a big fan of the Worlds of Power novel, I'd have less to gripe about.

I love this man more and more as time goes on. He takes everyone's lame ass childhood memories and shits on them, then throws it back to us in the form of an awesome game. I shall now prepare my song and dance number in honor of the great Itagaki.
