Yeah, Diablo is what I used in that area, one XXXXXY combo will kill red fiends if all the hits connect. Easy as pie, wait for them to attack, sideways roll + combo =Dead Fiend.

  2. Well, I didnt upgraded any of the side weaponry aside from Dragon Blade. I barely use those, and pretty much save up the money for the health and such. So I was just trying to get through all the red fiends with Dragon Blade alone

Diablo sword was nice to use, and fairly fast.

As for Magic, I KNOW its Y+B, but in the heat of the battle I keep pressing not both buttons at the same time, but one before the other which results in bad results, and makes me want to use magic even less. Must be me and Xbox controller issues

  3. I just finishesd level 6 this morning (thanks for the help on the zombies) and now I'm onto level 7. I heard the level 7 boss is really tough and I haven't upgraded my dragon blade at all... is this a problem?
I thought you were gay.... i guess not.

Well, not really, because once you figure out how to beat her you could do it with any weapon and Ninpo...that being said, I see no reason not to upgrade your weapons, since it makes them stronger and gives you more moves. Besides, whenever the upgrades are available, you should have enough essence to pay for them anyway...I always just upgraded ASAP.

However, I would definitely stock up on some potions of various sorts if you don't have any before you go through your first skull key door, because after that you won't be able to get back to any shop and be forced to fight her as is.

  5. I beat the 60 devil fight with level 3 dragon sword and the occasional explosive arrow when I needed some breathing space. A real easy way of beating them is to hop on their backs and down thrust them, hop and repeat. As long as you keep switching the side you land on relative to them, they get confused and won't ever be able to hit you. Might have to do this near a wall to get the landing right though.

Man, I just love the flails in this game. I'm right before the Emperor fight and I'm earning money to stock up my supplies by attacking those mutated ninjas and scoring 100+ combos on them, sometimes smacking around three at once. It's great at the end of a long combo to see three bodies fall down dead.

I suprised at how damn easy the bosses have been. The last one I had any trouble at all with was the skeleton dragon. The real dragon was a joke. Didn't even get hit once. Dorku was a punching bag.

  6. Ok, I officially HATE friggin level 12 aka Magma Caverns. Deadly lava + bad camera placements = imprecise jumping and alot of frustration. Thank god for Armlet of Tranquility, and too bad health regenerates so damn slow.

Whoever thought that jumping acros lava pits with shaking camera, or fighting Fire Worm with the camera view set not behind Ryu but weirdly from side left??? That makes for alot miscalculated jumps into lava, and being his by the worm when you actually jumping over him. Screw this shit. Glad I got through that anyway.

Golden Dragon seem to be not so tough, except for his move where he uses his wings to swipe lava/fire at you. I couldnt find the way on how to avoid it. You cant block it, and no mater how far you from him, of if you jump high, it still hits you. And AD at his head and flying into lava afterwards also not fun, and something I hated since those 2 electric worms encounter. Getting to the second level and beating up his head, sounds like a best idea, so I will do that tonight. Unfortunately nearest safe is in the Ice Caverns, so you still have to go through pain the ass Fire Pits to get to the boss everytime you restarts. Grrr.

And we were able to get that high chest, after extensive jumping and thanks to the dj's superior platforming skills in NG

I agree with you, except there's a better way to do it. I'm not sure if this works on the other worms but the magma worm has a weak point in either its head or neck, and if struck will deal three times as much damage from a single hit. I pretty much hung out near the back and middle (since I found his fire rings twice as easy to dodge as the electricity balls) and whenever he would begin falling just jump and slowly wait to hit Y. That caused the overhead thrust and I usually hit his weak point if I was close to the head. Only takes something like four hits that way.

I couldn't figure this one out consistantly but I managed to avoid it numerous times, I think it has something to do with jumping over it. *shrug*

I recommend against both of those. Just run back and forth on the bottom dodging attacks until he finally sticks his head out and then run up and wail on it for a couple combos, then run away and repeat.

  8. Here's a good tip, anytime theres a powerful attack coming your way which you haven't found a good way to dodge activate a spell, inferno or Inuyaza. It takes a while to take off and that way you are invulnerable through the attack.

  9. Yeah, I guess its about time for me to start using magic. I dont think I ever used a spell in any of the boss fights yet, and most of the times it actually gets used, its by accident

But since it makes a good way to avoid the cheap/unblockable attack, it makes sense to use it.

Which spell should I upgrade? I think I have about 3 Purple Jewels and all 4 spells.

  10. At first I was using Inferno a lot but at the end it was the Inuyaza spell or whatever the hell the electricity one is. By the end I had both spells to max and the water one was one shy of being maxed.
