Surprise, people don't know whats going on.

You can't post your old scores because the Master Ninja Tournament makes it's own save file.
The respawning enemies give you MUCH less karma points the second time you fight them, so you're better off going for the karma you'll get for completeing the level quickly.
Phase 1 of the Master Ninja Tournament is in fact, beating the game again. Phase 2 starts the new levels.

That's awesome enough to make me want to buy the game.

No one's stopping you, it's excellent. IRT the Tournament, it sounds interesting, the seperate save file is good to keep all the hardcore from just getting high scores from the get go.

Yes, we've been laughing all day about this one...

I ran into eXxy right after he conducted this interview and he said, "I just got my ass chewed out for half an hour by Itagaki!" He was pissed. There was more to it than you read in that GA article--Itagaki really let him have it, but GA lost the tape I guess:

He also said Itagaki and his translator were making comments in Japanese and laughing during the whole thing as if they didn't take it seriously... eXxy almost just walked out early on.

Reading the interview, he might as well have. Itagaki didn't give him one shred of information. Think GA better have a talk with that Paul Bryant character about how his review cost them a high profile interview?

I have told everyone, EVERYONE! Do not fuck the itagaki. You will not win. It's best just to compliment him on his wonderful developing skills, his amazing ability to convey emotion through games, his charming good rockstar looks. You will get everywhere. Look at GMR, they are like "Ohhh we love you ita-sensei, we suck your huge japanese cock and we play pretty games, we love you..." and they get fucking exclusive after exclusive.
