I missed a chance awhile back when toys from alien resurrection were on display. I almost had interest in the newborn (scary looking mo'fo), but they had a nicely made "wal-mart exclusive" edition of the alien from the first film that I wanted.

Target is a great place. They actually give a crap about their image and how their store looks, and have put a lot of work into making them not feel like garbage dumps. (At least, all of the Targets where I live.)

Wal-mart, f**k Wal-mart. I know that every big store is a threat to the Mom & Pop shops in each town, but no chain of stores IMHO have done more to rape towns, especially small ones, than Wal-mart has. As well, the shit they pull demanding lower prices on items for themselves to screw over other stores is just dirty. If you can't play on an even turf, don't play at all.

I think it has also been said that some towns only have walmarts to shop at for anything other than gas, cooked food, and groceries.

If Wal-mart is the only store anywhere near you, then of course I'm not going to belittle those people who shop there. That would be idiotic.

I don't have any problem with products being made in other countries. That isn't my reason for disliking Wal-mart.

This is the only time I'll step foot in a Wal-mart - if it is 3am and I NEED something that can only be purchased at Wal-mart. Even then, though, I'll ask myself if I can't wait until the next day for it.
