EDIT: Actually, Jonathan Crane, aka Scarecrow, is supposed to be in this one right? - he may be able to pull off a geeky introverted psycho doctor type...

  3. I beleive the 28 Days Later guy is playing Crane. Other than Ras, there's Ras' right hand man, Liam could be playing him though that'd mean someone pretty big would be playing Ras. In fact, who could play him? I'm drawing blanks.

No way Liam is playing Ubu - all Ubu ever says is "Yes, Maaster" , would be kind of a waste. If Liam's not playing Crane then I bet its likely hes playing Ras -------although the crime boss Falcone is in this one as well so theres another option.

"Humanity and realism, says Nolan, is the crux of the new pic."

It's gonna be the best Superhero film ever
I hope that means they're keeping their extensive and useless CG crap the hell away from this movie. If I see a cartoon Batman jumping off a roof and flipping 20 times, I'm going to be pissed.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1

  6. Nolan has said he doesn't like CG.
Yeah, I hope it's not like Daredevil, where the guy with good senses also has unbreakable bones and can jump off buildings and make 40 foot landings.

Well, looks like Liam Neeson is a definite for Ras Al Ghul and Morgan Freeman is back in for Lucius Fox. Viggo Mortenson is still up for grabs though...maybe he will play Crane if the guy from 28 Days craps out..

  9. More announcements

Watanabe to join cast? A MAJOR plot twist in BATMAN?
Friday, February 20, 2004 (second update): According to a new BOF scooper, actor Ken Watanabe (THE LAST SAMURAI) will soon be announced as a member of the BATMAN cast. And it is a MAJOR character--one that I won't reveal right now (Suggestion--go to the Cast/Crew section--Jett). I will say that is it a villain....This source also let me in on a HUGE plot twist that is cool as hell--and that I know to be true beyond a shadow of a doubt. And one that I wish I didn't know, to be frank with you readers. And I'll never reveal it (So DON'T email me and ask--the answer is NO!), because I respect this film....This same source has told BOF that a young Harvey Dent--not Two-Face--is indeed in the script as speculated. BOF has long reported that Dent was included in the screenplay by Goyer and Nolan. So, who is playing him? Well, if the guy they wants takes the gig, at least he's worked with Nolan before.

Watanabe was excellent in Last Samurai. It will be interesting to see him in Batman film.

  10. I'm hoping for some awesome martial arts sequences and gritty type shit.
