Awesome!
That's some pretty cool animation.

Holy shit. That's amazing. If they could make a man-sized versions of those guys the world would be doomed.
Seriously, that's fantastic. Very impressive how life-like those things move.

Those Sony robots are amazing little guys, that clip is from a series of demonstrations that showcase some serious balance development. The one of the robot getting up after knocked down is pretty cool to watch as well.Originally Posted by Videodrone
We watched a video of the man sized robot by sony at college years ago. It would walk up stairs which was pretty amazing. i think that model was going to factories to cary supplies and tools. I think I read somewhere their working on one that can run or jog. Sony is putting a lot of time and money into this stuff.

I saw a bunch of those when a roommate sorta went wild finding as much stuff as possible on currently developed robots.http://www.cnn.com/2004/TECH/ptech/0...obot.actor.ap/ Astroboy reading! (no videoOriginally Posted by Dolemite

Anyway, I can't find the demonstration video I saw before (done at I believe the same conference as the video in this thread), but here's a Sony commercial of being knocked backwards and here's an MSN video of the Today Show which shows dancing and getting up from being knocked forward (although I do wish those hosts would shut the hell up).
Nice. Thanks, Mech.
