Thread: Are you good at videogames?

  1. #21
I'm amazed that so many of you shooter fans play for high scores. Not that that's a bad thing; I think it's pretty cool that an ancient gaming ideology lives on.

  2. Ancient, eh?

    Am I good at games?

In Dan's immortal words from the Puzzle Fighter tutorial:

uh huh. you even said you're a dying breed.

what with being so ancient and all.

  5. I'm not arguing, really; it's just that the choice of words gave me a chuckle.

And of course I'm a dying breed - There's only just the one of me, after all.

  6. I like challenging scores on certain games. Shooters or any sort of unlimited blast-a-thon (Berzerk's fun) is nifty cool, with occasional oddities like Cosmic Smash (online rankings are what keeps me going for comparing scores).

    Really depends on the game.

    ...But I voted 'yes' anyway.
    My thoughts exactly.

  9. i think i'm pretty good at video games. games that require fast reflex i'm really good at, like racing games, action games, fighting games, and especially shoot'em ups.

i would go as far as saying i'm one of the top 10 (maybe top 5) shoot'em up players on this board.

  10. Not to toot my own horn, but yes. It is a bit too general, but overall I am far above average. I've mastered quite a few games in my time, and i keep on truckin. The only genre I'm not good at is sports games, but I don't like them anyway(I'd rather just go outside and play em).
