That picture was taken somewhere around 1908. Apparently, Russia had the ability to take pictures in "color"... what they would do is take the same picture in red, green, and blue and then "mix" them... actually they wouldnt do that last step, but they had the prints around forever. They held up and now people are beginning to combine them into these awesome pictures.
The photography buffs on this board NEED to look at this stuff. It's kinda weird seeing full-color photography from a hundred years ago.

There are color pictures from the Civil war and WWI out there, I remember seeing a book and TV special about them..
The idea has been around almost as long as photography, just noone could figure out how to get all three colors to properly blend, then real color photogtaphy was developed and those tri-color images were forgotten about.
Nowadays, photoshop does it very easily and people are re-discovering these old images and making them work. Its pretty damn cool.

I thought it was pretty cool learning how far back they had color-video cameras. There's tons of color footage from around WWII and I think it might've went as far back as the 20's.
