Thread: New Batman Cartoon

  1. I love that Killer Croc actually looks like a croc, but those female character designs are disturbing. I guess Gotham has no food, or heroin chic is in.

  2. Now that cartoon network has been airing this show I've been able to catch up with it, and it still has yet to captivate me. Watching this show is like a battle of attrition with me, whenever it does something I like, I see something that just annoys me. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either.

I saw the catwoman episode last night, man does she look stupid. She looked like Deflater Mouse (or whatever his name was) from the Tick.

  3. Season 2 is better, so far....in my opinion.

Yeah, Season 2 has some good ones. Out of all of them I've watched so far the only one I didnt like was the Catwoman and Penguin team-up episode. The rest of them were pretty damn good. The Riddler episode was pretty slick, and I agree with Robotron in that his new Marilyn Manson look fits a bit better than the quirky geek with a green suit and matching hat.
And Killer Croc voiced by Ron Perlman jumped to one of my new favorites. This version of the Croc is a lot quicker, deadlier, stronger, and even smarter than the one from TAS.And the way Batman took him out in that episode was some pure ownage.

And I just got donewatching Meltdown where Batman captures Clayface and Wayne tries to help to rehabilitate him,and almost succeeds if not for Joker. In the end it was pretty tragic, and just goes to show that Jokers torturing of Ethan Bennet's mind did a lot more harm than the damage done by the Clay chemical.

  5. Since I was banned I couldn't say that I caught the Killer Croc episode where he attempts to flood Gotham City to make it his own private feeding ground. His character design is GREAT and the ending to the episode was well written and set up properly.

This is the perfect followup to the more traditional approach to the previous Batman animated series.

  6. U guys rule.

Killa Croc kiks azz...big time. He's smarter this time around and not just some dumb stump. That cajun voice Ron Pearlman does is PERFECT. Almost like how perfect Luke Skywalker did the Joker's voice on BTAS.

    (((Possible spoiler alert)))

Riddler is the man also...I saw the new episode "Night and the City" which stars Commissioner Gordon (who is uber-cool) and a 3 villian way team up, one of which is the Riddler. Riddler, Killa Croc and "RAGDOLL" are my fav villians on that show by far.

Just wait till you see "Ragdoll" this guy is so funny...he made me laugh throughout the whole episode....he's also slick as glass...A+++++!!!!!

SPELLBINDER episode sucked terribly...and Grundy episode well....yes and no...your in for a surprise with this one. They fooled me.

Season 2 of the Batman rocks...I can't wait to see hoe they are gonna introduce Batgirl and Poison Ivy.

  7. Yeah, Ive caught pretty much all of these Season 2 eps via the internet so far.

The Ragdoll episode was kind of cool.I liked his unorthodox method of thievery and fighting. He seems to be the perfect opposite of Catwoman's gracefulness which is why is was cool to see them at each others throats.

The Spellbinder and Grundy episodes were kind of interesting ones. But the latest one I really enjoyed watching was 'The Laughing Bat'. Talk about an awesome damn episode. In this one Joker decides he wants to switch places with Batman, throws on a Batman costume, and reaks havoc across Gotham, chasing after what he deems serious crime - people who jaywalk, leave turn signals on,etc. and gasing them with joker gas. Then he gives the mayor an ultimatum, to pay him for his services or else.
This episode just rocked though, Joker looked weird as hell in his own handmade Bat suit, and even had some funky gadgets including a wacked out batarang to match Batmans own,and he even tried to play his Batman role seriously with angsty poses, and lines "I'm.... the BATMAN."
I didnt think it was possible, but Im actually starting to like this Joker better than the original animated series one. This Joker just seems a lot crazier, has a lot more mental schemes, and is just more of a match and challenge for Batman.

  8. Tha was a good episode...but right now, to me, The Joker is just too randomly stupid.

Perhaps he will evolve into a good Joker.

That's the point though.Joker was never supposed to be linear and predictable in everything he does. His randomness is what makes him awesome in this new series.I hope he doesnt change at all.
I liked the quick evil look he gave Comissioner Gordon at the end of 'Night and the City', a bit of forboding as to whats to come, I'm guessing.

  10. I saw the Spellbinder episode. Is it the one where he makes Batman believe he's made out of stone and all of that jazz, and then Batman uses his mind and help from Alfred to overcome the delusions?

I thought that episode was pretty good.

He's less conservative and has more character. I caught the episode where Joker plays Batman as well. I haven't seen an episode of this series I didn't like in some way.
