I liked the quick evil look he gave Comissioner Gordon at the end of 'Night and the City', a bit of forboding as to whats to come, I'm guessing.
I mean randomly stupid with NO PLOT.

Plots are just now evolving with this Joker. In earlier episodes like the one where he turned people into playing cards...plot: revenge...but where is the money for the joker cars and chemical research coming from? He hadn't at that time decided to rob a single bank or jewelry store...he was just bouncing around from place to place like the Beast acting dumb....meh.

Thats what I mean by randomly stupid.

I thought that episode was pretty good.
    I didn't like it...it was too dry.

Incredible Powers like that, going through all that trouble just to steal trinkets?

    Bleh.

huh? I dont get ya,man. So you want him robbing banks in every episode? That's not evolving a character.Thats devolving him.I never needed any explanation in the old series as to how the Joker got funding. Why do I need it here. It's just a given, and to show otherwise would just slow the show down.Every episode I've seen thus far the Joker has had a reason for doing what he is doing.Yeah, it may be crazy, but he has plots and schemes he's trying to make happen.Do crazy people ever need a reason to do crazy shit?

Well, that trinket was going to make him pretty damn powerful so it wasnt useless.

I didnt really like that episode too much, but it introduced a character who can warp peoples perceptions, something we are missing in this series so far thanks to a lack of Scarecrow appearance. And it showed that this young Bruce had some other training besides martial arts in that he could learn to resist the mental barrage that was being thrown at him.
So it wasnt totally a waste or anything.

  3. ROBO: I think you're trying to rationalize a backstory and history of Joker that doesn't really matter. These episodes are pretty much stand alones and aimed for a younger audience. I just enjoy them for what they are.

    Jetman, Andrew...

Bottom line is I love the show...I want it to succeed, I want it to continue. However, I am not a "Yes" man...there are certain things/episodes I don't like...big deal. Must I like every episode and say the series is perfect? I have some issues with the show and I was just trying to explain what they were.

    Overall, The Batman rocks.

You guys act like I hate the show...nothing could be further from the truth.
