george lucas can suck it. 10 bucks says we'll see the original cuts on dvd within 5 years.

edit: the cult of personality surrounding lucas is sickening. have any of you watched a star wars making-of video recently? ugh. rick mc callum should be shot.

Good news: Star Wars on DVD

Bad News: Just about everything else. There are so many issues I have with the SE;

Slapstick comedy added to Mos Eisley, the Jabba scene in ANH, Han always shoots first, "You're lucky you don't taste very good"/"You're lucky to get outta there" in ESB, Luke screaming as he fell in ESB, and the song and dance number in Jedi.

I can deal with a lot of the changes but, damn those changes pissed me off, especially the dialogue changes, WHY?!

I'll probably buy the set anyway, but I won't be happy about it ... well, yeah I will, but I wish Lucas would listen to the fans.

Spielberg doesn't do commentary.

You don't need commentary anyway, each movie has it's own documentary section on the 4th disc. They would have just said the same shit anyway.

I like how Spielberg gets all the praise for the Indiana Jones trilogy, but Lucas is somehow responsible for all the bad stuff.

Oh, and expect commentary tracks to be on all three original trilogy DVDs. Lucas recorded them for Eps 1 and 2, and both were excellent.
