Ah, that's true. ESB on DVD is awesome, and the SE is just as good as the original. Thanks, Yoshi, for putting the attention where it is deserved.![]()
The greatest movie ever made, Empire Strikes Back, is coming to DVD, and you twats are bitching about Greedo shooting first. ESB alone is worth the $40 this set will cost, so the butchered ANH is just icing.
While I am bitching, Spielberg should get no blame or credit for Indiana Jones. That overrated son of a bitch has made one good movie on his own, and that was ET two decades ago. Indiana Jones' is Lucas' character and plays out Lucas' stories.

Hey Yoshi, are you a fan of the new trilogy?
Seems like I'm the only one around here, sometimes (well okay, all the time).

I like the new trilogy, too. I don't particularly defend it from attacks, because I know it has its flaws, but I wasn't ever offended by anything in it so far. Do I think the new movies could have been better? Maybe; there could have been more detail, less focus on silly things (this includes, but is not limited to, Jar-Jar), and more thought into the Coruscant scene of the second film, in particular. But I still enjoyed them, and they aren't terrible films by any measure.
I feel I have to comment on this whole LOTR has 8 hours of extras per movie crap. I mean, bitch and moan all you like, but what the hell did you expect? The first was made in the mid 70's. The last in 1983. DVD wasn't even a gleam in the eyes of Hollywood, it was all about VHS and Betamax back then. So don't be blaming Lucas if they dont have some of the awesome extras that Lord of the Rings does. Comparing the two series based on the extras they can bring to the table is just retarded.
Dude's got a point... I'm happy the movies are coming on DVD, nevermind what version it was or which one of the scoundrels shot first.Originally Posted by Yoshi
I agree with Yoshi about ESB. To have it on DVD finally is reason enough to get this on day one.
As for the extras, what could the extra disc have that has not already been released in 20 years of merchandising? I've seen enough SW documentaries to make me sick and there are more artbooks, sketches, posters, and whatnot out there to make one DVD more than enough.
According the thedigitalbits.com all three movies will have an all new commentary by lucas and co. and an all new documentary compiled for the DVD release.
