Thread: Do you save system boxes?

  1. Ok, yes...if you ever plan to sell your system down the road....if you have the original box and manual... especially for older systems. You're likly to get a good deal more.

In 10 years....a complete Dreamcast as opposed to a loose system will probably have a $25-$30 price difference (rough estimate). Saturn wise, right now, you're likly to get $10-$20 more, if you sell a complete Saturn as opposed to one that is not.

The price for a mint/complete SNES is unreal too....so yeah...I keep whatever system boxes I get.

  2. I keep them. Why? When I plan on reselling it, I get more for it. Same goes for documents inside systems. Most people I know throw them away.

  3. I keep only the ones that are cool. Like the Neo-Geo CDZ box.
The greatest box to ever live.

  4. i have 'em all as well. stored up in the attic.

  5. I have all mine from NES up until now. Hell, I still have the game boxes for Zelda and Super Mario Brothers 1-3 ! They do take up a lot of space, but I can't bring myself to throw them away. I was so bad in fact I used to keep all the sticky plastic strips from my PS2 and Xbox games ... I decided that was just stupid and threw them away, but it was hard ... I need help.

Shit, I've got about 90 NES games with boxes and manuals, but those easily go into about two drawers or a bookshelf (in the new house), it's just the system boxes she bitches about.

I took Skelly's advice though, for when I move, so I put them in the garage for now

  7. Used to, but had to clear out space so I tossed some and flattened the rest.

    Same for me!

I used to chuck them out. Actually, I cut them up and used them as backings for comic books. But since my teenage years I've been holding on to them. It's cool to look at the game pics and system specifications (CD-SOUND!!!) on the back of the box.

  9. I've got a bunch of mine. Somewhere.

You need to get your priorities straight.
