Right now New Line is selling a Blade 1 and 2 DVD 2-pack that includes an extra DVD with a few clips from Trinity, an interview with Goyer, Renolds and Biel at some comic con, trailers from all 3 movies, and info on the soundtrack. My friend picked up the set and lent me the Trinity DVD, but it's nothing great. Of the 3 clips, one we've all seen before- the final version of the cool-ass booby-trapped baby fight with Jessica (I say final version because "The Name of the Game" song from Blade 2 has been removed and replaced with a more generic-sounding techno tune), a very short clip that showed a great argument between Blade and Hannibal King (Blade says "The Nightstalkers" sounds like a Saturday morning cartoon name, and King replies that "Well, the Care Bears was already taken."), and a scene where King is being held captive by the vampires. This is the scene where Triple H is holding the cute furry doggie to his mouth like he's going to eat it
but he's NOT eating it, he's kissing it affectionately, it's a pet. And it's not a normal doggie, it's a REAPER doggie, and it's mouth even opens up the same way. It's about the stupidest goddamn thing I've ever seen. This scene also featured some really bad dialogue…check out these gems:
King comments that the doggie has a bigger dick than Triple H, who kicks him in the face and asks "How the FUCK did you ever see my dick?!?"
King tells Parker Posey to "take a sugar-frosted FUCK off of the tip of my dick!" (it's like it's in their contracts that they have to yell out the word "fuck" twice as loud as any other word in the script). Anyway, Parker then replies, "Please stop all this talk about dicks, I'm going to get envy."
Bad. I remember how much Guillermo del Toro ripped on Goyer's dialogue in the Blade 2 commentary track…he should have a field day with this movie if all the lines are like this.
The interviews at the comic con was pretty decent. However, it doesn't really tell you anything new and it's pretty short, but it's worht looking at because Biel's wearing almost the exact same outfit that she wore in the Texas Chainsaw remake (wifebeater & lowriders…yum).
Anyway, the disc isn't worth re-buying both movies if you already have them, but the disc itself looks easy enough to steal considering the way it's packaged.
