February 16, 2005 - New Line Home Entertainment will release Blade: Trinity on April 26 in both rated and unrated editions for $29.95 each, and it looks like the unrated disc will come with more goodies than the theatrical cut of the film.

Both the rated and unrated discs will be two-disc special editions. Blade: Trinity Unrated will come with 10 minutes of added footage. More importantly, that disc will come with two commentaries, featuring writer-director David Goyer, actors Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds, the producer and others.

Also, the Unrated version will sport DTS 6.1 surround sound, which the R-rated version will not have. It will have Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound only.

On to disc two, it looks like Blade: Trinity is getting the usual thorough New Line treatment, leading off with the 16-part behind-the-scenes documentary Daywalkers, Nightstalkers & Familiars: Inside the World of Blade: Trinity. Plus you get a blooper reel, an alternate ending, Goyer on Goyer: The Writer Interviews the Director featurettes and galleries on visual effects and weapons.

  2. Jeez could you find a bigger pic Dole?

Looks like Wesley isn't doing any commentary, further cemented by the use of "Goyer on Goyer" which would lead to talking to himself and possibly even touching himself.

    Wesley is a big man

And Goyer definately likes himself too much.

Hmm, I wonder if Uncut version will have anything of value. I will give it a rent, and pick up the movie, when it becomes 4 for 20 at my Hollywood Video.

  5. IGN reviewed the DVD. They agree that the movie is shit, but the transfer/extras on the disc are great.

Have to admit, as much as I cannot stand Triple H(GH) for the way he ruined the WWE, he was actually entertaining here.
Two sentences in a row? Jeez.
In another goof, Biel took out a camera with her arrow.
    Nice.

That DVD also has one hell of a huge behind-the-scenes featurette, I want to check that out.

Dude, it's IGN. It's to be expected.

I did like the Triple H(GH) joke, though.

  8. I can't believe how bad this was. It totally shit all over the franchise. It wasn't funny, the action was average, the soundtrack was complete garbage. Everything that made the last 2 movies great is completely missing. You can tell Snipes is just on camera to get a paycheck and he just wants to get it over with. The movie didn't even look right. Thank god I didn't pay 9 bucks to see this in theatres.

  9. Don't blame the actor for something he has no control over. He was the same in this was he was in the others Rumpy.

  10. Well, I liked the soundtrack. It had some nice beats.

I rented the director's cut this week, but only had watched first 10 minutes. If whole movie was a fun as opening, it would have been good, since when Blade shows up to kick ass, and following car chase was cool.

Also watched alternate ending with werewolf biker, and bloopers reel, which had few funny things.
