Not familiar with those games, but if Sega did something smart then I'm all for it. I may not be a big Sega fan anymore, but I still want to see them succeed.
This is huge news for Sega and the sport-sim genre. The Championship Manager games are huge sellers. Sega's has the rights to publish Football Manager (and SI's other games - including Eastside Hockey Manager) for the next 5 years in all regions. This news should help the sim genre grow, with the inclusion of more sports and hopefully more global exposure.* http://totalvideogames.com/?section=...&format=000007

The new screens look nice. Thankfully the interface looks improved.
This is a great business move for Sega.![]()

I would say that naming a soccer game "Football Manager" in the US is very dumb indeed.
Cool news, I've heard great things about the Manager games, and if one were to be released in the U.S., I'd snatch it up.

90% of the people who cared enough to actually buy the game in the US either would not care or endorse the name. Regardless, the article said it will have different names in different regions anyway. "L'Entraineur" in France, for example.Originally Posted by diffusionx
So 6 will not care and 3 will endorse the name?Originally Posted by sggg
