Thread: Do your SPs scratch easily?

  1. I don't give a shit about scratches, but my GB "Brick" lost about 8 or so whole lines of pixels on the lateral edges of the screen, and my GBA has two pixels which are dead. Now that shit is annoying!

  2. I've dropped my SP a couple of times and his several scratches but I don't care. The damn thing exists to play games rather than being 'admired'. I used to be quite anal about these sorts of things but it just compromised my enjoyment and was not practical.

  3. the outside shell is meant to collect scratches and damage while protecting the screen and inner circuitry..

same goes for almost all other portable electronics.
MK2 on XBLA plz - let the unfolding of gameplay begin!!

I understand the concept. However, it's a problem when the user goes out of his way to take care of the outside and it still ends up scratched to hell. From what I'm reading this seems to be the case with the SPs. Indeed, it sounds like Nintendo just gave them crappy paint finishes.

And yes, functionally, scratches on the outside won't affect its main purpose (to play games). Persoally, I'd still like to prevent them if I can. Similar to how some people don't want the outside of their cars all scratched and dinged up, while others could give a crap.

  5. My black one looks fine and I usually leave it on my floor or toss it on my bed or whatever.

  6. i left my SP in a little compartment on the side of my car door. i thought it was safe in there but i pulled it out and the hinge was scratched to hell. the outer screen shell now has a rather deep gouge in it, too.

i was all sorts of pissed off but now i really dont care. kinda stupid to be stuck on something like that.

Cars aren't finished by Nintendo, though. I dont think there's a whole lot you can do but hate Nintendo for it.

  8. Don't you hate them enough?
