Man, I think I'm about as done is I'm going to get with Burnout 3. I'm at like 85% done, and I'm just bored with the whole World Tour mode.
I got my money worth, I think.
*twitch* No way I'd be able to do that again.
The biggest obstacle for me clearing out stuff on my PoS is rarely desire - most games there are ones that I either fully want to play through, but didn't have the time (this is very often the case for srpgs), orrrrrr, games that I feel should be given a full chance, even if I wasn't completely impressed at the start. I've finished a few games because of the Warpact that I might have just given up on otherwise, and was rewarded for doing so.
However, there is one other category, and it is perhaps the most important. It would be the "Lesson Learned" category, or DON'T BUY THAT CRAP. Basically, games that you KNOW probably aren't going to be good, but you STILL buy anyway. These I'll leave on the Pile *specifically* to punish myself for throwing money away
Once you grind through a few of those, your desire to ever buy a marginal game again drops off sharply. Partly for that reason, I don't really have any new uncompleted games. I buy them and burn through them quickly. Once again, only heavy duty srpgs or rpgs can slow me down, due to the sheer size involved. Some of them I like so much I don't want to just plow to the end, so I take my time finding all the goodies, exploring the options, etcetc - this is part of the reason I have an unfinished copy of Disgaea sitting around... curse you item world!

Haha, I was just doing some maintenence, and was digging around in the old thread for some info, I found something I wrote when I shut down the first one after it had run for a year
"Incidently, compliments to those of you who have been participating. This thread has been running for about a year now, and I've found it to be an enjoyable staple (at times, its the only reason I visit, other than to check the high score board or to watch Strider or Mode bash on someone)."
That is still a truism. I can't imagine a better reason to visit a gaming forum than to talk about playing and beating games (particularly good games). The Warpact keeps it all focused for me, even when I tire of the endless flamebait threads that infest TNL from time to time. I wonder where Mode7 ran off to though... and I suppose I'm not seeing Strider post due to my lack of participation in most threads.

Protip: Invite someone over who hasn't played BO3 yet, and say "Oh look, you should try the World tour mode. Yeah go for those medals I haven't gotten yet."
This was good for 5 or so crash medals after I was sick of plowing through them, but after a while I got so sick of watching his incompetence I took it over and finished the last 18 or so in quick succession.
The crash medals were really easy. I did almost every one on my first or second try, and only 1 or 2 took 3 or 4 tries.Originally Posted by Cowutopia

Wow, it's been awhile. I sold off a number of games about a month ago, so my pile is going to change quite a bit.
Brave Fencer, Beyond the Beyond, Castlevania:LoI, Norrath, Boktai, Mario and Luigi, Zelda Collector's, Shenmue, Advance Wars, DemiKids. I believe I got rid of a few more than that, but I'll have to think on it. Anyway, pile -10.
"Tick-tock"
I'm selling some stuff right now. When I'm done scrutinizing my PoS, I'll start up with you guys (for reals this time).
It's going to be huge and scary, lemme tell you =X
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1
My Backloggery
I'll get in after the holiday buying spree. Since I've lost so many of my bad n64 games over the years I have a feeling my PoS won't be so bad.
....
I'm not gong to lie. I want to be Mzo.
Keep an eye out for trade in/selling deals, and link them back here, this is a good time to clean out shame stacks
