The entire body of English literature is influenced by the Bible. Robert Jordan is influenced by needing something to do when his friends stopped wanting to play Dungeons & Dragons with him anymore.

It's really, honestly important to the point of this movie that Gibson is the actor who nails Jesus to the cross. If you don't understand why, then I don't know if you're going to 'get' the movie - and I haven't heard that many people talking about it.

I have no plans of ever seeing it.

Why is that important? I'm at a loss here.

I live in Tennessee, the Jesus Freak base of operations.

I've been witnessed to no less than three times by three different denominations. Needless to say, the attempted brainwashing has yet to be effective. Unfortunately, I have seen how their brow-beating tactics have broken down other people and it sickens me to no end.
