Thread: Punisher

  1. Well, Kill Bill is a gritty, dirty revenge movie Vol 2 opens the same day as Punisher too.

Anyway, I am keeping my expectations low, so in case it ends up sucking, I wont be very dissapointed. Still, some of the action in the latest trailer looks nice, and the tone is definately more darker than what was thought after initial trailer and photos.

    We shall wait and see.

As for Constantine, they pushed it back to the next year.

Nah I think it's still over the top and somewhat flashy. Don't get me wrong I really liked Kill Bill but Punisher is much more grounded in tone.

  3. I'll be seeing The Punisher before I even think about seeing Kill Bill Vol. 2.

How come SpiderMan isn't in this Movie? I guess they can't
always stay true to the comic roots.

This is gonna be great, I might have to see this and Kill
    Bill the same day.

  5. To the movie industry, superheroes don't live in the same universe from film to film. With this storyline spiderman either doesn't exist, or is barred do to licensing restrictions.

Right cause Punisher was a villan at first.

  7. Yeah they can't start him off as the bad guy, so butchering his past (to every fanboy's dismay) wouldn't be a problem.

I don't understand the logic of Lions Gate releasing this head to head against Kill Bill 2? The same people that are gonna see this will see Kill Bill. It would have made better sense then to release it Easter Weekend as there are no action-oriented Movies, and I'm not counting the Alamo. The opening would be better and I wouldn't have to do two Movies in one weeked, jk I don't mind, but Movie studios need to be more strategic with their movie openings.
