No I feel the same way. I know I'll play Jak 3 but I fear it won't be as good as 2. At the same time I can't wait to get my Hands on the new Ratchet and Clank, it looks fucking awesome.Originally Posted by ChaoofNee

I'm not the only one unimpressed with Jak 3, am I?
I'm not the only one REALLY impressed by R&C3, am I?

Am I the only one that thought Jak 2 was boring and tedious? Dont think I played RnC 2. Then again when I played Jak 2, I realized I wasn't in the mood fora platformer, so my view is a little tainted.
Jak2 is a pile of butt. I WAS in the mood for a platformer, so Jak2 is even worse. It has less to do with platforming and more to do with "here's a gun, now try to shoot enemies with this awful targeting/character rotation system" or "here's a vehicle, to bad it controls like crap" or "here's a hoverboard, it's like Tony Hawk but junky".
I agree. Kind of. It wasn't a very good at all. Jak 1 was fresh and fun and looked great, and Jak 2 improved on the graphics and made everything else not fun and it lacked originality in every aspect. The story was decent, but the vehicle and gun controls were absolute crap. I really don't like the opened system that GTA3/Jak 2 use, so I'm kind of biased against it. It was just such a slow game in every aspect.Originally Posted by Joust Williams

Not only that, the vehicle in the demo was boring to drive & its weapons were pitiful. Using said vehicle to chase around a big lizard that runs in a large pre-determined circle is not fun. What a huge let down.

So I hated the original Ratchet and Clank, is 2 this kind of huge improvement over it that I should give the series a second chance?
Espically now that's 15 bucks and some change =/

Depends on what you hated about it.
If you hated the basic structure of the first game as a whole, then don't bother.
If you hated nuances that may have been fixed, give it a go.
Otherwise, be more damn specific. I've played enough of each that I can tell you exactly what you want.
The levels seemed too small to me for some reason, there didn't seem to be enough to do, and the characters were obnixiously stupid (espically Ratchet).Originally Posted by ChaoofNee
Nothing just seemed to gel together when I played it.
The reason I ask about the difference, as R&C 2 is largely regarded as this amazing game, while you never hear crap about part 1 anymore.

Ratchet's character was changed for the better (as most say, though, I liked his arrogance and attitude. Meh.) Clank is still awesome, though. Levels are a hell of a lot bigger, as are the amount of objectives. Flows very well, too.
If that's what bugged you, give it a shot.
