How much does a flask cost, and where does one get said nice one?

  2. www.theandovershop.com sells a good one.

I'd be up for that if I had some spare cash. It's over near your place?

If I only had money to spend on clothes. Or anything for that matter.

Interesting. I've been thinking about picking up a flask once I could find a reasonably nice one, and these guys have a location that's about a ten minute walk from my dorm. I'll have to check it out once I'm back in the city.

  7. My girlfriend just ordered a $100 bottle of absinthe from www.seborabsinth.com. Comes out to over $6 a shot. Fucking ridiculous.

It's 110 proof and supposedly has the highest legal concentration of wormwood, which probably equals good times. Can't wait to try it.

As far as regular alcohol goes Grey Goose is sweet nectar no matter how you take it (avoid the orange flavored shit, though) and Bacardi O with coke really does taste like orange soda, which can be fatal to people who like orange soda.

I think whiskey is nasty and Jim Beam was definitely created by the devil. If I'm drinking something straight it's probably vodka or rum.

The best beer I've ever had is Irish Killians Red, but it's expensive so no one really buys it. Everyone at school drinks Coors Light which pisses me off because it's shit. Back home the standard is Rolling Rock, which is pretty good stuff.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

I think if you mix a couple oz of tequila with a split of Jarritos grapefruit soda (mexican soda), you get a 'Palomo', or a Paloma. Good drink.

Sounds halfway decent. Maybe I'll try it this summer.

    Generally, I try to avoid the_tequila b/c

    A) it's...buttery...for lack of a better word
    B) I don't live in an arid, hot environment
    C) My Christian name isn't Samuel
    D) I'm not a freshman at Wellesley

I'd still like to see Saint come up w/a name for his drink. Half the fun of 'inventing' drinks is naming them.

Yeah, such a difficult effect to describe, but "buttery" is definitely close enough. It's almost greasy. You should try the RMBF (or RMMF if you don't like dark rums). The tequila makes it slide down your throat so that the whiskey and rum can affect you afterwards.
