As for me... either give me a beer... preferable some type of Weisen or Stout, or else give me a Gin and Tonic.
I really want to try Absinthe one of these days... some buddies of mine and I are contemplating risking the wrath of customs and trying to order a bottle from France... the worst they can do is confiscate it.Originally Posted by AstroBlue

Astro: where do you get it? I have some mates in melbourne that get it from somewhere, but I've never met a Sydney sider who drinks it.
I know like 10 people who have ordered it. Have no fears.I really want to try Absinthe one of these days... some buddies of mine and I are contemplating risking the wrath of customs and trying to order a bottle from France... the worst they can do is confiscate it.

Customs doesn't fuck with people ordering a small amount of absinthe for personal usage, but if you're importing enough of it to sell, you'll get trouble. You'll be fine otherwise.
As for Jagermeister, I remember someone trying to tell me what it was after we had a good deal of it, and I'm not sure what the fuck he was talking about, nor do I think he even knew. Some kind of herbal liquor. Whatever. Good stuff.
Also a fan of Wild Turkey.
Dunno. My sister's friend acquired it somehow, it came with a slotted-spoon and all. It's not illegal in Australia, I just think it's restricted or something so only licensed people can import it. Therefore it's fucking expensive, like $80.00 for 700mls expensive.
EDIT: $73 at VintageCellars.com.au

Soco is not my shot of choice, after you throw up your lungs out from shots of it, the candy flavor is never quite the same.
