MK5 - MK6 > MK1 - MK2
That pit fatality was both funny and gory, can't wait to play this already.
No, he's letting everyone think that he is dead, and using Baraka as his pawn.Originally Posted by Dragonmaster Dyne
Also, good times at MK5.org...
They also have screen grabs, near the end there's a fighter who looks REALLY similar to raiden, but he's in yellow, green, and has a circular white hat instead of the pointy one, and he's hitting a real blurry guy who Gamespot thinks is Nightwolf.Possible truthes...
UPDATE: We have confirmed through an anonymous source within Midway that the red ninja is in fact Ermac! This should end speculation concerning the identity of at least one of the new fighters. Our thanks to our source for the heads-up!
Last, it is now known that the next installment will see the return of a Konquest mode, new puzzle and board games, and interactive stages that will effect the outcome of the fight itself.

"Your soul better belong to Jesus, mmm-mmmmm..... cause your ass belongs to me!"
If anybody is being obsessed with ruling all the realms, it's Shang Tsung. And as far as I can remember, he didn't have a general death in MK: DA so that's a very plausable explanation.
But the thing is that Baraka worked directly for Shao Kahn back in number 2, plus all the fucking skull imagery in the trailer.Originally Posted by cka

Well if there's lots of skull imagery, then why not Quan Chi? As I recall he was nuts about skulls... even having fireball attacks modelled after them.
Then again, this is the MK storyline...
"Shao Kahn! I thought you were dead!" "I was!!!"
I guarantee that will be what happened. "I faked my death so that I could take over the realms once Quan Chi and Shang Tsung were gone!!!"Originally Posted by cka
And I'm hoping Quan Chi won't come back. He's a pretty shitty character, even by MK standards. Give me Jax immediately![]()

*shrug* Usually when a character dies in the MK world, they end up either ascending to the heavens (like Johnny Cage) or ending up trapped in the Netherealm (like Scorpion and Mileena). It's kind of like William Shatner talking about Star Trek V: "Everyone dies in this film. But, in the tradition of true science-fiction.... not exactly."
Oh, there's no GameCube version of the game either, so looks like I'll be picking up a PS2... heh.
(EDIT: Gah, should have realized Kano on the Phone's Fight Club thread was about the lack of a GC port... heh.)
For a dark man shall come unto the House of God, and the darkness shall be upon him, yea, even within him.

You mean this won't be on the GC? Sweet...only a few more platforms to go and this series will be gone. Well, I liked the second one.
