Well, CVS2 would be good if it wasn't for all those facking droppers, not to mention the recent connection problems.
I recommend Mechassault (which comes with XBL, I think) and Crimson Skies.
I am getting a Xbox today so I can play Ninja Gaiden when that comes out. I want to get Xbox Live and a Online game as well to hold me over until NG comes out and need somthing to play with my online buddies. I used to play PSO on Xbox alot but the cheaters ruined the game, I hated seeing every other person with a Dreamcast Mag and a 10 star weapon. Any suggestions on good Xbox Live games? Everyone is raving about Project Gotham Racing, I love racing games at all but I don't see how PGR2 could be that fun online.

Yea, I used to play CVS2 Online but the lag was killer and I hated it when I would kick someones ass only to see them quit out at the last second. As for Crimson Skies, I have been hearing alot about that one. What makes it so wonderful online? Rainbow Six 3 also seems to be a popular one.Originally Posted by Zerodash

Crimson Skies is without a doubt the best online game. It is endless amounts of fun whether you're playing teamplay or free-for-all, you won't be disappointed. There is no uber-plane, they're for the most part balanced out and have their respective pros and cons. The lag is there, but not as often as in other games (RTCW, Recon, RS3, etc).
Time for a change

Obviously this thread will vary according to player tastes depending on the genre(s) you enjoy the most, so here's how I break it down.
Best Online Racing Game: Project Gotham Racing 2
Best Online Action Game: Rainbow Six, Crimson Skies
Best Online Sports Game: ESPN Football, Top Spin
Other honorable mentions (in no particular order) include: Mech Assault and Tetris Worlds. Capcom vs. SNK 2 just ain't worth the time anymore.
gozen: The lag is due to many players simply having crappy DSL services. If you can find a 16-man dogfight w/o lag, consider yourself lucky. Most usually just keep the player base to 10-12 players (sometimes lower) just to compesate for any potential lag that may arise. Crimson is a great game, but newcomers joining in may quickly lose interest due to some of the points Rich, Mzo and I brought up in the thread at Online Discussion.
p.s. just to confirm Zerodash's statement, customers who purchase the XBL kit will receive a free copy of MechAssault. Hopefully, they'll change up the package because I am sure some people won't care for the game one bit. (The sequel however, looks fantastic!)
I would say Soldier of Fortune II but nobody plays it. What a shame..My list is just my most played.
Rainbow Six 3

PGR2, but I don't play alot of XBL.
I hated Top Spin on XBL. Perhaps, I suck really bad (which isn't surprising), but it is impossible for me to find someone at my own level to play with. I either lose without ever winning a point, or on rare occassion, I will win (and destroying the other person). I have yet to play a competitive match after trying for a period of 3 weeks. I gave up and traded the game in.
