I've never liked EB due to their shadey business, but this is re-freaking-diculous.

If I hadn't already pledged a life-long personal ban on EB (except in extreme cases), I'd do it right now.

Just noticed this in the article:

EB Games still insists it will not refund Michelle's money. If she wants her money back, the company said, she can go through the legal system and get restitution from the thief.

First they violate the law, then they have the nerve to give her the cold shoulder. Whether they deny it or not, they are also partly responsible in this and just like that theif, should face severe penalties.

I don't see why she can't get an investigative order for having their sale records checked, maybe for once the patriot act can be useful for a change?

Eh, whatever. They are protecting their business so anybody cant just come in and say "that copy of Rez was stolen! GIMME!".

Sure, the kid can admit it to hell and back that he did it but Im sure corporate would want a conviction for legal purposes... like most other companies. Or she can sue him... that's how things work.
