I can't really imagine NOT having a command prompt... I have to admit - OSX is quite a powerfull (and nice looking) piece of work. Before it though - I was not fond of Mac OS.

My desktop (sized down from 1024x768 to 512x384)

No icons or other stuff are on my Win98 desktop. In the right corner is Route 1 Pro- if you hate the start menu, this may be useful to you. It's available at annoyances.org (see "Reducing Clutter"/"What To Do If You Hate The Start Menu").
