  2. Underneath Ryu's awesome ninja outfit he wears this shirt-

There seems to be some confusion, so I shall describe ninja, seeing as I am one and all.

There are 2 types of ninja in this world. First, the stealthy ninja as seen in games like Tenchu. Second, the types of ninja that flip out and kill any mother fucker that moves as demonstrated by movies such as The Last Samurai and our very own omfgninjas.

Flipping out and decimating 4 master ninja spiders by any ninja means nessecary >>>>>>>> Slitting the throat of a bad AI

I love Ninja Gaiden I, Shinobi III and Tenchu, but Ninja Gaiden by far destroys them all in sheer ninja craziness. In order to succeed in your mission you MUST be a ninja, and by the end of the game you'll feel it.

  4. Shinobi PS2 and NG2 are better ninja games. Flying around mystically dashing from enemy to enemy slaughtering all in my way in a large Tate while never touching the ground gives me a much greater ninja feeling then NG's more standard beat 'em up design. As for NG2, ninja doubles and Funky Dynamite are pimp.

Maybe. I haven't played Shinobi, but if it can match the sheer wholesale, hyper-kinetic slaugther I achieve in Ninja Gaiden after busting out the Flails, then I may just have to try it. You seriously catch a ninja "groove" with those things, with the 50, 100, 150 combo indicators beckoning you hypnotically until there's just no one left.

It's a totally different style, flipping out in NG feels less controlled to me since the animations will take over for certain moves (primarily on the Flail) and the camera will get lost in large groups. I'll end up ripping apart a crapload of enemies but felt more like I was giving strong suggestions to Ryu instead of me doing the killing, whereas Shinobi's straight forward lock-on-dash-slash->Tate seemed more precise and directly controlled to me.

But maybe I'm alone on this.

You are, for I feel as if you're 100% batshit-insane.

Anything that lets you control three ninjas at once is automatically cool. It got in on a technicality.

I loved PS2 Shinobi, but the fact is it's a one-trick pony. NG borrowed almost everything that made that game great, including stealth dash & tate type moves, totally outdoes Shinobi's presentation, and adds in tons more attacks, positional possibilities, and weapons - basically, more techinque. I wouldn't take Shinobi over Ninja Gaiden.

Hardly. He forgot the first freaking rule:

    1. Ninjas are mammals.

  9. Ninja Gaiden 2 is probably my favorite Nes game so I may be biased. Ninja Gaiden XBox=best ninja game ever. Look, I love the ninja games, I even really like Tenchu 2. I also own Shinobi 3 but NG Xbox still owns all. Oh yeah, how the fuck can anybody compare the crap that is Shinobi PS2 and Nightshade to NG XBox? Are you outta your fucking mind? Yeah I said it, and I know a lot of you are thinking it.

  10. Yes, I'll just agree with everything Slip said.
