Watching you trying to debate politics is funny.

Anyway this is blatently an al-Qaida attack as ETA have been infiltrated, spied on and shamed in the last few years. They simply do not have the resources that al-Qaida do and the ETA bombing attempt on a train last christmas was on a much smaller scale. This is in retaliation to Spain's involvement in Iraq and has killed off the conservatives who had frantically tried to pin the blame on ETA. Aznar has now been punished and the socialists are in power.

You talk like these are good things.

  4. I say these things as a matter of fact. Regardless, i'm happy to see Aznar booted out and the socialists in power.

But it's okay... because now they sit in universities and sip tea, act like homosexuals, and complain about the US. So they're "enlightened".
Exactly. Well, except the slave trade part. Sure, Europe pretty much started it, but the US is just as much at fault for taking so long to outlaw slavery. And even then it was still in practice to certain extents.

But basically, yeah, Europe has done more colonization and exploitation of the third world than we have. They're just not THE world power anymore so it's not as easy for them as it is for us to get rich off everyone else.

That, and it ALWAYS cool to hate the guy on top. Always.

That doesn't mean shit. I don't hate the US, I disagree with the government over many things, though that goes will all governments, not just the US. I do believe I'm aware of why the world hates the US and it's for a few reasons. 1) We are THE world power. Jealously, envy, it's cool to hate the guy on top, like I said. Europe contained all the world powers prior to WWII. Afterwards they were reduced to rubble and we were on top. We took their place. They're angry because of it. 2) We've done some fucked up shit in the third world. Exploited a shitload of people, bombed the fuck out of non-military targets, demolished entire nations, ignored human right violations because our boys were doing it, put dictators into power, so forth and so on. But like diffx and I said, nothing Europe hasn't done in the past. Except maybe bombing the fuck out of places. Instead they took mass amounts of troops in. Big difference. A shit load of innocent people have still died at the hands of both sides of the Atlantic.

EDIT: Actually, European nations have bombed the shit out of other countries. England and Germany have at least. Not sure about others though. Shit, the Europeans can't even fucking get along with themselves. They hate each other.

That's really interesting. I'd like to see what my family thinks of this, being from Spain and all and being exiled when the fascists won the war.

No. We have no reason they are not dangerous by group. The Muslims clearly are. Why do you think airports use profiling? On top of that, blacks, and likely some Jews, fought for our independence. They have earned their right to be here.

  9. Anyway, I read that Spain's new PM may pull troops out of Iraq.

As if APPEASEMENT will work against terrorists.

No, weak-willed shit like this will actually cause MORE terrorism to take place, because it proves that with SOME countries, you can terrorize a bit and get what you want. We did that bullshit a few times, and look where it got us - September the 11th, 2001.

Especially when we are talking about Spain - the 1300 troops in Iraq is hardly al-Qaeda's main problem with the country.

Why does so many in the left do not realize this? The way to defeating terrorism is not to treat them nice and give them what they want. At the risk of invoking Godwin's law, it didn't work with Hitler and it's not gonna work now.

So, since you can't think up any way to refute their arguments, you're just going to disregard it entirely. Way to go. Fortunately, you don't need an argument to surmise that it's false:

1: Aside from that, even an idiot should know by now that this kind of letter has been popping up in the news once every month or two for nearly two years now. There's ALWAYS been an Al-Queda letter saying that the next big attack is "just around the corner", "about to take place", "is coming this Ramadan to a theater near you", and so on. One of them slips in a scary-sounding name and suddenly every gullible fool there is starts duct-taping their crotches and freaking out.

2: Villain Exposition Syndrome is a terrible affliction that kills dozens of supervillains each year. Symptoms include a need to mouth off your plans to any who will listen, leaving clues behind in the form of riddles to taunt your adversaries, and being a dumbass. While Osama and gang have expressed some of the symptoms of VES in the past, even they aren’t stupid enough to name their operation “Black Winds of Death”. That’s like mailing a copy of their plan straight to the FBI.

Whether or not the 'Black Wind of Death' is true or not, the fact of the matter is I live in NYC, I knew people who died in the WTC, and I know it's a good possibility to happen again. Not to mention this article was posted AFTER my post. Go find something better to do.
So, if I’m right, I win. If I’m wrong, you choke to death on noxious fumes, and I win by default. Woo-hoo!
