Thread: King Of Fighters 2003 for ps2

  1. That info on the decision making is just...tragic, not surprising, just very sad.

    '96 music rules them all.

I'm actually pretty excited for this two-pack. 2002, from what I know, is pretty much '98 part 2, which sounds great to me. '03... well, I really wasn't impressed with the new characters, but I need to give them another chance.

The only sore spot is that this won't be part of the massive SNK online collection.

I enjoyed 2002 alot, and yea, it is a dream match like 98.

Plus the ps2 version adds a new team which is Orochi Iori, Geese, and Goenitz, from SvC. So you got the best of the best from 95-2001 basacially, except for Eiji and Mr. Big, while the fat has been trimmed. Honestly, who ever used The Sports Team except for cheese factor anyways.

2002 is a damn fine game, I really enjoyed the time I spent with the DC version.

No way. Boxer guy - can't remember his name - is awesome.

  5. 2002 is 98 with all of the things that made 98 great taken out of it. The only characters who I can say were *improved* upon in that game from 98, were Shermie and Billy. Everyone else was nerfed and/or ruined. When I say everyone, I mean every single character, not just those from 98. Also, lol @ Maxima wire attack cheese.

Seriously, 98 is still the best KOF I've ever played. And the Sports team, while I admit, Lucky and Brian are jobtastic designs, they are both strong characters, especially Lucky.

Heavy D! is in a class of his own, as the single coolest, most unique boxer in 2D fighting games. He is still the only character *ever* in an SNK game who could power up his moves. That, in itself, should have given him a solid spot in the roster forever. He's still incredibly popular now. Though the fact that nobody else could remember his name doesn't really support that...

Exactly what I wanted to say, but couldn't find the words for. I also know Heavy D by name, though honestly I never used him much. There is seriously no reason to play KOF2k2. Least fun KOF ever.

I don't like my KOF censored.

You must be talking about KOF 2001.

I use the Sports Team, mostly just Lucky, D!, and someone other than Brian in 98'. I played Dream Match last night with someone for a few hours. I saw the completeness and balance, the music, and funfactor, and I wonder why KOF has gone DOWNHILL instead of UPHILL.

I like 2k3, but nothing holds a candle to 94'-99'. We played 2k3 as well....they did a great job with the translation, and it's got old-style KOF team match ups. Great translation.

  9. The best thing about KOF 2003: The Griffin.

SNK's best wrestler ever. They unfortunately changed his 360 moves into Quarter circle moves, though.

I see you are a man of good taste. Tizoc is one of the best grapplers ever. He's so damn fast. Back when 2k3 was first announced I was the most pleased with his space on the roster as I've always wanted him to be in KoF after using him so much in MotW.

He's a great fucking character. I even love his design.
