first thing to do, though, is to play the maps in tutorial mode. as a spy. it's really hard to look for shortcuts when you're worried about getting shot.

Yeah, I think it's in Multiplayer and then listed as "visit a map". I highly recommend this, learning the levels is the only way to be an effective spy.

I agree 100% with Nigel, Learn all of the maps first and learn snapping neck, and merc skills 2nd. When you're learning the maps also practice scrolling through your weapons really fast, this will help also knowing where all your weapons are with out having to take the time to look at your sub-screens. It will take you 1 - 2 weeks to really learn all of the maps depending on how much time you spend in the tutorials. Be very patient and good luck, hope to play with you soon.
