Last night was the first good episode of the season. The whole Mysterion bit was genius. He's the only kid with an actual superpower! The Lebron commercial and it's subsequent parody were also lol.

So I've been watching season 14 this week on the South Park website. Pretty weak season overall aside from the KFC and Shake Weight episodes.

The superhero trilogy was just dumb.

I guess I can't see those 200 and 201 episodes for whatever reason.

I really don't see how anybody could expect season 14 of any show to be anything better than mediocre. The Simpsons was unwatchable garbage by the 14th season. And it still is.

Because South Park isn't the Simpsons. The Simpsons went pretty steadily downhill from like Season 7 on, where South Park is probably better now than when it started. I think South Park probably didn't even really hit their groove until after 6 or 7 years in when they started doing really topical stuff.

Could be that Matt and Trey have been a little distracted with their big Broadway project this year, though.

South Park was definately at it's best in season 1. The voices were better and the super-ghetto look actually looked super-ghetto... And for some reason the character models were also better. The characters were also 100% different characters.

But you can't do the same thing for 15 years so I am actually thankful it changed so much. Last season was the first hint of the show starting to lose it. That's pretty impressive. But they've just been off ever since the Muhammad incident. If South Park goes the way of The Simpsons, at least it lasted twice as long before it did.

That's not even close to true. Go back and watch season 1 of South Park, in general it's pretty horrible.

Season 1 of South Park is still funny, but not nearly as good as some of the stuff from the last five years.

Last week's episode was pretty lame, though. Although I didn't see the Comedy Awards they were goofing on.

That's the problem with half the episodes I see. If it's a parody of a recent movie or ripping on a celebrity, chances are I won't get the reference.

South Park was absolute garbage until something like season 4-5.

If you don't love the early stuff, you just don't like fart jokes.
