There was no instant replay. Umps have been discussing calls to make sure they got them right for about five years now. And those calls were RIGHT.

Please re-watch the huddle after the A-rod play. One of the umps was clearly looking up at the replay screen.

I don't doubt that those calls were correct, but the Yankees turned a double play in the ninth that was botched by a bad call. Why not watch the replay and re-call that play?
