The Curse is fiction, but pretty funny fiction. They recently (month ago?) destroyed the house where the Babe lived when he was in Boston (only for a year or 2), and every year they talk about dredging a pond where Ruth dumped a destoyed piano.

Ha! I'm actually from NYC.
The Babe was NOT traded after the 1918 WS win, he was traded a year after that in 1920 and actually had a sick year for the Sox in 1919. And the curse has everything to do with the World Series. They Red Sox have finished seasons way ahead of the Yankees, but they have yet to win a WS. Not to take away from the amazing feat they just accomplished, but the curse is not yet broken.
