An international group similar to the RIAA looks to be going after swappers. Looks like the areas that are safe are dropping.

I have none. I download them and immediatly stop sharing. Yes, I'm a leech of the system. My computer runs slow enough as it is, I don't need people downloading off of this machine.

I just don't allow people to DL from me, I don't think you can get in trouble for DLing off of others and if you can the risk is still a lot less then having people DL from you. These bloodsuckers need to go away.

Well a good part of it is that I'm on 56k too. Kinda hard to surf the web or DL anything when people are stealing all of your bandwith. I share sometimes when I'm on my buddies cable but it slows that down too.

Doesn't the FCC have some sort of role to play in regulating the music industry? Why can't they just go in and dismantle the way things are set up and make it so that the musicians get the money they deserve from albums and whatnot?

I agree - definitly the way to go, and try to keep major label stuff off your sharing folders - and use Soulseek, its safer than anything kazaa related.
