He uses aoe Zan spells and you don't get demons that can nullify or absorb force spells until around level 18 or so. So I was two levels behind, I'll spend more time leveling up before I move on in the future.
It kind of sucks that you don't really know anything about a boss until you fight it or look at a lame fag guide. Especially this dude, at least I ran back to save when I saw my candelabra was acting suspicious.
Looks like he was added to the game for the Maniacs edition, which is the only one we saw.

Yeah, the core of the game is really trial and error, by getting your ass kicked until you check off the list of things you shouldn't do. And yeah, we have the Director's Cut Edition, so more pain (and content) for us!
As I'm sure you noticed with Persona 3/4, status spells are ridiculously powerful and you're going to need them here. Try to find something that hurts his accuracy, increases your dodge, lowers his power, etc.
I don't remember if I wound up using Fog Breath but I don't think I did.
I don't think I had Fog Breath either. Just a boatload of Sukukaja/Rakukaja/etc style spells on most of my cast.
