Sorry, I get the two shitty companies confused.

Gamestop is STILL listing SMT 3 as shipping on the 5th, so tommorrow night if it's still listed as such I think I'm going to throw down a preorder, and hope they are shipping a week early for some odd reason

  2. I'm assuming your game didn't come in, yet, Roufuss. I know mine didn't.
It arrives soon, and the more I read of it, the more I must play it.

I waited until the day before, and it magically changed to the 12th, so I'm just going to pick it up at EB the day of (which is wednesday).

Didn't have the cash to preorder ahead of time, I just barely got the money for it and the guide (but no way am I not getting the guide, I must have it).

  4. Ugh I hate waiting.

Ships on the 12th, won't have it until Wednesday... why can't it be in stores tommorrow like THUG 2 and MK: Deception were (on a Tuesday)
I mean, damn, even Midway Arcade Treasures 2 is in stores tommorrow

My anticipation has reached amazing new highs for this game though, I cannot wait.

What does it have in the way of bonus dungeons and such?

There are two. One's pretty small and mainly a backdrop for a series of boss fights (with a very nice prize should you beat them all), while the other is pretty big, 6 levels if I'm remembering correctly, with boss fights, mini-games, it's own cut-scenes, and brokers selling special custom demons that kick ass, though are rather expensive. There's also a number of optional boss encounters, but you'll need to beat them in order to unlock all the levels of the second bonus dungeon.

    Man, this is great.

Optional boss encounters and extra dungeons are the best.

  7. Roufuss won't shut the hell up about this so I'm gonna have to break my promise and buy a game this month...Sigh. At least this'll rock hard.

What's better is that beating those optional bosses unlocks them so you can create them via demon fusion, which you'll probably want to do since they have powerful unique skills. Like there's an undead priest who can heal your entire party up to full and also can drain both mana and life from opponents, both skills that can be transferred to other demons. The mana draining becomes nearly useless by the time you hit the final dungeon, but I was using the healing ability right up to the final boss.

You can always wait. It's not going anywhere. And it's not for everyone so even though I liked it, it might not fit your tastes. For instance, I noticed some reviewers took off points because they felt there was too little story. I thought that was odd since I thought there was plenty myself, but then I realized they probably liked FFX where I felt there was so damn much story getting in the way of me actually playing the game. The high encounter rate is kind of annoying, but running away is possible most of the time at normal difficulty.

Are they easy to find, or do they really make you look for them?

Mixed. One took me like forever to find because he was lurking in some obscure room on the first dungeon... which I had cleared like 40 hours earlier. I know where they all are now so if you need to find them I can help, and of course they're all located in the official guide. Some you'll practically walk right into, though you're given the option to put off the encounter if you feel you aren't ready for it. The cut-scenes before these battles have seriously the best music in the game too.
