    Hey, it worked before, right?

I'm guessing 90% of TNL posters would leave if they started charging.

However, If you don't own that game, you suck. And yes, that overrules the general pwnage of simply being Gymkata -- which makes it quite a force to be reckoned with.
Ill level with you ol chum. There is a force out there that seems to conspire with the malevolent force of Shaq Fu itself. That my friend is the evil force of poverty. Forged in the fires of Mount Doom. Aged in a cellar constructed from the bones of angels felled in battle. Poverty wraps its influence around much of my life. Only by the hand of the Almighty Himself does my fight against poverty tip ever so slightly in my favor. Fear not fellow members of TNL. My gaming lifestyle may be impared; but I sacrafice it so that future generations may have a peacefull life of their own.

    Damn im smooth.....

A premium membership may be an option. SRK.com's forum has this. Premium members get extra options ... like ummm.. bigger inboxes. And, oh yea!, it says PREMIUM MEMBER under their screen name. I think that it would be a nice way to support an excelent site (I am sure that the forum takes up more bandwidth than the main site stuff).

That said, it is an expensive undertaking, so I might look into some revenue-raising methods I can easily stomach, but maybe in a month or two. In the meantime, make sure to read the content as well as the message boards. Outside of donations, the best thing you can do for TNL right now is to read it.
You could talk to online stores about doing refrence banners, where you get a cut of the profit for everyone who goes to them from the banner. Then put up related banners at the top or bottom of certain threads that have to deal with it. Like a music site in music, and a dvd store in cineama.
