Last part didn't feel as epic as the first two films, but the film overall was very good.
Qudditch scene was the best IMO.

I just got back from seeing it for a second time, and I must say, I wasn't thinking about it the first time through, but there is an EXTREMELY glaring omission.
They excluded fucking Voldemort! Pettigrew and Mr. Weasley both mention him, but that's it. In the book, we were told what became of Pettigrew after he escaped, and there's a tiny conversation with Voldemort as well. Totally excluded from the movie! I understand it's called the 'Prisoner of Azkaban,' and so should focus on Sirius, but cut me a break! Simply forgetting to include the series' main villian is, well, ridiculous.
Incedentally, I was checking out the games for this installment at work this evening, and I noticed something that got me quite excited: apparently, the GBA version of the game is a turn based RPG wherein Harry, Hermionie and Ron can all level-up by gaining experience, as well as learn new skills, and increase the levels of those skills and their spells. I do believe I'll be giving this a try tomorrow, as a Harry Potter RPG is just too good to pass up. Hopefully it doesn't suck moose sack.
I hear it's really short. I just read a few reviews on it, and everyone who has commented has said it's a great game, but the extremely short length ruins it.
I'll still give it a try, but I don't know if I'll buy it.
I'm definitely buying the PS2 version, though. Eyetoy minigames (Gnome throwing!!!) are the shizzle.

Also, I hate, with a firey passion, expository dialogue. "Hermionie, you were right! It wasn't my dad I saw..." NO SHIT, ASSHOLE! Just shut the fuck up! We already figured it out because WE SAW IT WITH OUR OWN EYES! You commenting on it just makes the writers of the screenplay look like shitheads. Which they did.
Also, the whole "Hey! Look at Harry! He's happy!" bits were annoying. I didn't like him crying out while riding Buckbeak, and the shot that the movie ends with is phenominally cheesey.
I'm still going to see it a third and fourth time, though.![]()
You saw it twice in one day? What are you, ten?I just got back from seeing it for a second time
I usually just ignore it when you decided to comment on me and my tates/preferences/actions, however, to condescend to your level: Fuck you. I'll not justify myself to you. Honestly, you aren't nearly that important for me to give a damn what you think.Originally Posted by diffusionx

i don't know about anyone else, but even though Emma Thompson is a great actress, her performance as Prof. Trelawney wasn't all that great. shit, i wasn't at all big with how they portrayed her. they went with a physical body, as opposed to a free-form, floating spirit that i'm sure most thought she'd be.
besides those and a lot of the other glaring ommisions from the book, the movie still came out great.

While I understand that diffusionx almost never has anything postive to say, replying with insults only encourages him. Just try to ignore him and report any post he makes that's out of line and it'll be dealt with.Originally Posted by Captain Vegetable

I just saw it today and like Satsuki said, I was lost, since I haven't read POA yet. I've only read the first two books and my philosophy now is to watch the movies then read the books, so I don't feel too critical of the film version right away.
So to clear up the confusion:
Was Pettigrew actually the loyal 'supporter' of Voldemort that Mr. Weasley was speaking about when he warned Potter about Black?
Agreed...Originally Posted by Captain Vegetable
