I've been looking forwards to seeing this ever since I read about it in an issue of Entertainment Weekly months ago. I had completely forgotten about it until I saw the teaser trailer during Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Fox Searchlight took their sweet time with it but the trailer is finally online:When Andrew Largeman (Zach Braff) returns to his hometown for his mother’s funeral, he reconnects with old friends and - since he’s gone off his depression medication - himself. A chance meeting with Sam (Natalie Portman), who also suffering from various maladies, opens his world to the possibility of rekindling emotional attachments, confronting his psychologist father, and perhaps beginning a new life.

Anyway, I really like Zach Braff, Scrubs is one of the best shows on TV thanks to him, so I'm really interested in seeing him in his own film, and the fact that it takes place in Jersey doesn't hurt either. Be sure to check out the trailer, it's really well done, I love that shot of him wearing the same shirt pattern as the wall behind him, and the music is really good, I've been listening to that "Let Go" song for the past few days now.

Yeah, he wrote, stars and directs it. Interestingly enough, the original title of the film was "Large's Ark", but it was changed to Garden State because "Large's Ark" doesn't sound good when spoken aloud, and Garden State rolls off the tongue a lot better and is more memorable.
That's for fucking sure.Originally Posted by Regus

But it isn't.
