This sounds absolutely retarded. Whoever this new director is he's probably going to end up changing everything for the worse, so that only X-Men nerds will understand and enjoy the film while the mainstream is left scratching their heads.

What the fuck is this? 3 MORE characters and making the LEADER OF THE GOD DAMN X-MEN less prevalent? Sounds lame, incredibly lame. We'll see once the production notes start to slip out.

Did anyone watch the deleted scenes on the X2 DVD? There's a scene from the museum in the beginning with Jubilee, and the girl playing her was pretty cute. If they need more female characters they should just give her a part in 3.

Yeah I remember watching that scene. It was kind of a pointless scene but seeing more of Jubilee time was cool.

I really don't like that Cyclops isn't in a major role, X3 should have been THE movie for him since the Phoenix stuff was supposed to happen the way Bryan Singer had it planned it out but at this point I'm not sure what they'll do with the story.

The only excuse for not giving Cyclops alot of screentime would be because of the expanded cast who need to be juggled well, X2 had that problem with Storm and Cyclops as everyone knows so I'm holding out hope that they make Storm and Cyclops take more prominent roles as leader and second in command.

I'm not pissed that they added 3 of the characters I most wanted to see after the ones in the first two movies. Beast was supposed to be in the first but we finally get him (hopefully a good actor with some awesome Beast prosthetics/suit), Gambit who is damn cool especially for action and suave style and Angel. If you notice they will have Professor X, Cyclops, Jean, Iceman, Angel and Beast...the original Stan Lee/Jack Kirby X-Men. How cool is that?

BTW story wise, just from what news I've seen online, I heard that they won't be playing up the Phoenix stuff which is disappointing but hopefully they'll make up for that with some great villains like the Sentinels and a new formation of Brotherhood of Mutants (Magneto, Toad, Mytique, Pyro, Sabertooth and maybe even Avalanche and Blob) and some action pieces like the Danger Room.

I refuse to see Gambit in anything other than this normal apparel. They should also return the rest of the cast to theirs.

Cool. Phoenix Saga it is then.I'm still curious how they plan on doing this without Cyke in the big picture.Maybe he goes into seclusion after Jeans "death" and wont know whats going on in X3?
