I was basing my arguement on the facts of good movie making and writing. You don't introduce characters that play good roles in your movie without developing them up unless they're a throwaway character.

I don't care Juggernaut wasn't a mutant, it wasn't vital to the story. I've said this already. They didn't completely drop the ball with Juggernaut being in stasis and bound the way he was in the convoy, but he should have probably been explained a little bit better as a character (same with speedy chick. I don't even remember her name). I didn't feel anything when Scott "died" or Jean "died" because most of the movie was devoted to Magneto anyway (not a bad idea). I was really surprised Beast stuck Magneto with the cure at the end against his will.

Anyway, not a bad movie in general, I was just venting some complaints as a geek.

I think they gave calyptos (sp?) name really early, or maybe they glazed over it like they did with death strike. Juggernaut is one of my favorite members of the brother hood and I was just disapointed they they did pretty much nothing with him. Loved the fight between him and wolverine though.

The problem is that there isn't any competition opening up this week.

"I'm the Juggernaut, bitch" also really killed it for me.
    LOL
Do you have some sort of vendetta against this movie.

juggs wasn't a big char though. he was a brute. he was like the guys that constantly got beat up by batman in BTAS. Big, barbaric, straight to the point. Same with the speedy chick.

  4. Well since X4 is a given at this point if gambit isn't in it i'm going to start throwing bricks through some choice windows.

  5. I suddenly have this urge to play X-Men 2: Clone Wars for the Genesis.

That's what I'm saying. They should have been explained more. Juggernaut is a big, bad brute, but a good one. His "take no shit" persona is why he's such a good one in the first place (goes ape shit). Explaining him a bit more would only have made him a stronger characters. His role at the end with Magneto was pretty big. Bigger than, say, Omega Red standing around in the forrest listening to a speech.

Stop promoting and defending under developed cast. Calysto was awful. Toilet paper bad guys always suck, it's only magnified 10x since we're familiar with them a little bit. Use once, throw away afterwards.

What's wrong with this approach as opposed to 1-2 villians per movie, ala Batman?

  8. I agree. In Batman you get the 1-2 villains and a horde of thugs.

  9. I don't care about formats or how it's done in previous films. Just develop your characters up a little bit or make due with what you've got. X3 had enough generic mutant thugs as it was.

So basically, if they did The Long Halloween as a movie, you're going to get whiny because Mad Hatter didn't have enough lines or some shit, Gotcha.
