I meant that By now everyone should have seen the movie. It grossed thus far 195 million(?). I'm sorry I'm just really fucking tired.Originally Posted by Andrew

Saw it again tonight with a friend. He really liked it and knows nothing of X-men he had to ask lots of "who is that" type questions. I actually enjoyed it more the second time, probably because I was less focused on how it matched up to the comics. And more on just enjoying the film, it's my favorite thus far.
Yeah, I kept expecting him to show up, perhaps shortly before the confrontation with Mags.Originally Posted by Dolemite
So what was better, the actual X3 movie, or the X3 fan fic Andrew and I wrote earlier in this thread?

If this was an actual poll there would only be one available option to choose from.Originally Posted by Dolemite

Yes, I'm going into Spoiler-rific mode here. Love it or leave it:
People are complaining about extraneous bits, but I thought everything worked well and had to be there. Yes, including the lack of discussion about Scott after discovering the much-alive Jean because (I'm assuming) only Logan had any inclination about Scott being there/involved (and I'm glad such an open avenue for a Scott/James Marsden return was presented). Was Wolverine a little preachy in a spot or two? I suppose, though it wasn't completely out of the realm of reason and other spots (e.g. "Rambo" Wolverine) balanced it out.
I had many doubts about the creative crew following what happened with Bryan Singer, but screenwriters Zak Penn and Simon Kinberg and director Brett Ratner came through in producing a worthy sequel that followed Bryan Singer's lead.
Loved the Danger Room opening, which I initially dreaded as a cheese bit of jumping ahead in the story (though fittingly, it was good preparation for the Bridge fight). So glad that the Sentinel wasn't completely shown, as then it too would have been cheese with its appearance on screen and the amount of CG that would draw away from the story; it was perfect as it was.
Speaking of things that didn't suck despite the chance of happening: Juggernaut. How they pulled that off, I don't know.
Nice nods to the work of Morrison, Millar, and Whedon also.
And yes, I readily admit that I <3 Ellen Page/Kitty Pryde.
I enjoyed movie screen forehead as Pride as well.

Saw, hated it, never want to see it again. I loved the first two, but there were just way to many things wrong with this movie. It was poorly written, way too many lines that were pure trash, and terribly directed scenes.
