Dunno why they can't do a whole Shi'ar empire thing. I know you guys hate it, but then you can bring in the Brood and Belasco and maybe ... just maybe do the Phoenix Story correctly.

So what if its a mass market film. Spiderman is pretty close to the mythos. Raimi changed a few things ... not farkin change the entire team lineup from conception!

Come on, man. He completely eliminated Gwen Stacy and Captain Stacy from Peter's life, at least if one followed the books. Doesn't mean the movies aren't great though (especially Spider-man 2).
When it comes to movies based on these type of characters, especially the older ones that have years upon years of material used to sell books to customers, the best thing to do is use that resource as a pool of ideas and streamline from it (the Ultimate Marvel imprint has done the same to much success).

It should of happened in this movie against Juggernaut. In the comics it always took the whole team to take him down. It would of been awesome to see, but all we get is him tossing around Wolverine.

I'm tired of people bitching whenever tiny stupid aspects of their favorite stories don't get translated panel-for-panel to the screen. They really got the basics right with the X-Men movies and the characters, especially the overall spirit of the comics. I think the series has been treated with respect as to the source material. How man other comic book movies (aside from Spiderman and Batman, and they both changed things too) can you say that about?
I'm a HUGE X-Men fan, have been for years and years, and I'm very happy with the movies (even X3, kinda). Could have things been done better? Sure, they always can. But they got way more right then they did wrong so I'll just count my blessings.
It's like bitching that Wolverine doesn't wear the same costume as the comics when a yellow and blue spandex outfit with a pointy cowl, while cool as a drawing, would look 100% homosexual IRL.
Gee, you mean an actual story and not 2 hours of 100% non-stop fighting? I would assume that goes without saying, but I guess everything has to be spelled out for you.
Sure, if the movie was 8 hours long.
BTW, the Shi'ar empire was gay. Fuck those feather-headed motherfuckers. The Brood would be cool, though.
