Actually depending on the location, it's on the menu. I guess they really mean it. Kinda.... Who cares?
At the McDonalds in the Field Museum in Chicago they always "charged" you for a smile on your receipt. Below your order it'd say "one smile 0.00". Of course the poor people who worked there pretty much never smiled at you. Why would they, they work at McDonalds.
