Thread: Guardian Heroes Advance on the way?

  1. Hajime no Ippo and Astro Boy are fucking great games. Treasure can really work the GBA when they want to. I don't want to blame the system; they've clearly shown they know how to push the hardware when they want to. If it comes out bad, it's Treasure's fault for rushing it.

  2. IGN gave it a 6.0

It's not the system's fault, but the game would've benefitted from a system that could actually handle the gonzorg amount of sprites that make Guardian Heroes... Guardian Heroes.

They were lazy and sloppy with this game. Its Stretch Panic, all over again.

    HA!

Guess I'll just have to try it out for myself. MM is one of my favorite Treasure games.

  6. IGN was actually a good site when Mischief Makers came out, though. Nowadays, all their scores are inflated. A 6.0 in 2004 is a lot worse than a 6.2 in 1997 (or whenever the hell that came out).

Craig has been at IGN forever though.

Well clearly they were going for something cmpletely different for this title anyway, not what "makes it guardian heroes".

If it's sloppy it, because they rushed it, put the wrong staff on the project, or otherwise fucked up. We know that Treasure can make a great beatemup with awesome graphics and a shitload of onscreen action, and we know they can do it on GBA because they did it a couple months ago.

  8. Played a few levels... The slowdown is really bad. I think I'm gonna play the ROM in an emu that allows me to increase the GBA's clock speed and see if I can't get a better experience.

  9. Has it been said yet, if you need multiple carts for multiplayer?

Played a bit of it. My initial impression is that it would make a good fan-made Guardian Heroes game but it doesn't compare to the original. I probably won't buy it.
